Al-Qadisiyah seeks to continue its journey to qualify for the handball league.

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 24: Qadsiya faces a challenging test as it takes on Burgan at 7:30 PM today in the ninth round of the preliminary stage of the Handball League. The round also features a clash between Salmiya and Al-Arabi at 6:00 pm and an earlier matchup between Al-Qurain and Khaitan at 4:30 PM.

The league format allows the top six teams from the preliminary stage to qualify for the Premier League.

In the first game, Qadsiya, currently eighth with 8 points, aims to build on its recent wins and climb the standings to secure a spot among the top six. However, this goal will be tested against Burgan, sitting comfortably in third place with 11 points and showcasing consistent performances throughout the tournament. Qadisiyah began the season poorly, losing four of its first eight matches, but hopes for a resurgence under new Tunisian coach Amen Al-Qafsi.

The second game promises intense competition as Al-Arabi and Salmiya, tied at 12 points each, battle for the top spot. Al-Arabi holds a slim lead on goal difference, but both teams are eager to seize victory and claim the lead in the standings.

In the third game, Al-Qurain, positioned seventh with 8 points, has a favorable chance to secure a win against Khaitan, who sits in 11th place with just 4 points. A victory would help Al-Qurain stay in contention for a spot in the Premier League.
