Qatar and UAE aim for key wins in World Cup qualifiers

DOHA, March 24: Qatar will host Kyrgyzstan on Tuesday in the eighth round of the final stage of the 2026 World Cup Asian qualifiers.

Currently, Qatar sits in fourth place in Group A with 10 points, while Kyrgyzstan is in fifth with 3 points.

In another Group A match, the UAE will take on North Korea at Prince Faisal bin Fahd Sports City Stadium. The UAE is in third place with 10 points, while North Korea is at the bottom of the group with 2 points.

Also in Group A, Iran will host Uzbekistan at Azadi Stadium in Tehran in the round's marquee match. Iran leads the group with 19 points, while Uzbekistan is in second place with 16 points.
