KUWAIT CITY, Sep 14: The Public Authority for Food confiscated  250 kilograms of contaminated meat, which was being thawed and sold as fresh. In addition, 11 violation reports were issued, and various adulterated food items were destroyed in Hawalli. The violations included operating food outlets with an expired license, selling adulterated food of unknown origin, and workers handling food without health certificates. The authority also discovered frozen meat, poultry, and birds being thawed and misrepresented as fresh.

Abdullah Al-Kandari, Director of the Hawalli Governorate Inspection Department, emphasized that legal actions are being taken against these violations. He confirmed that inspection campaigns are ongoing around the clock, targeting all food stores, central markets, warehouses, and establishments handling food products.
