KUWAIT CITY, March 25: Two reckless drivers, whose dangerous driving endangered lives during recent rainfall, have been arrested and sent to central prison under the orders of His Excellency the Acting Prime Minister.

Following directives from Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, the Traffic and Operations Sector apprehended eight reckless motorists. Their risky behavior, captured in viral social media videos, showed them putting their own lives and others at risk in various locations across the country during the recent rainstorms.

Authorities swiftly launched search and investigation operations after the videos surfaced. The Security Control Department at the General Traffic Department successfully identified and detained the offenders—either through video monitoring or direct observation of their reckless driving on the roads.

Legal action was taken against the drivers, including the confiscation of their vehicles for two months. After registering the necessary cases, they were referred to the central prison.

The Ministry of Interior has reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy toward traffic violators, particularly those who exploit adverse weather or other conditions to engage in life-threatening behavior. Emphasizing the importance of compliance with traffic laws to safeguard lives and property, the Ministry reiterated that the safety of citizens and residents remains its highest priority.
