Hamad Al-Dubos honors Sheikh Sabah Al-Nasser.

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 14: The Secretary-General of the Hunting and Equestrian Club, Sheikh Sabah Fahad Al-Nasser, highlighted significant advancements in equestrian sports in Kuwait, attributed to the decision to open all Kuwaiti tracks to one another and allow horses and trainers to participate across local clubs. This initiative, led by the Chairman of the Hunting and Equestrian Club, Sheikh Dhari Fahad Al-Ahmad, along with the club’s board of directors and the Supreme Authority for Horse Racing, has resulted in prize offerings exceeding 1.4 million dinars for winners across all tracks.

Speaking during the 11th horse race meeting at the Hunting and Equestrian Club, Sheikh Sabah Al-Nasser explained:

“The registration and participation process for races is conducted online, enabling participants to select their preferred rounds and distances with ease. The integration of tracks has simplified participation for horse owners, and prize values have been significantly increased. The minimum prize is now 1,500 dinars, and every race at the Hunting and Equestrian Club offers a trophy. Additionally, winners throughout the season receive valuable rewards, including cars. At the end of the season, four cars will be awarded to the champions of the points league, recognizing the top trainer, jockey, owner, and horse, along with cash prizes for second and third-place winners.”

Sheikh Sabah also noted a remarkable increase in participation, with over 300 horses competing in the races. Public interest has surged, attracting diverse audiences, including families and a growing number of female attendees, who actively support the participants.

During the 11th meeting, the horses "Kahlan," "Inertempel," "Hawda de Nilance," "Marrakesh Express," "Hoor," "Northern Prince," and "Jalmoud Al-Mazban" claimed first-place victories in their respective races.
