KUWAIT CITY, Feb 24: According to informed sources, the removal of tents designated for events in the Governorates of Farwaniya, Jahra, and Ahmadi from early March, as per reports circulating on social media, is an old decision that is still in effect based on Supreme Municipality Committee’s ruling issued about three months ago. Kuwait Municipality had notified the owners of the tents/halls to remove them by the beginning of next March.
The removal of the notified or warned tents is contingent on providing alternative locations for them by the concerned authorities, including Kuwait Municipality. The sources denied any new decisions being issued by the Supreme Municipality Committee regarding this matter, either for the actual implementation of the removal or for postponing the removal of the warned tents.
