KUWAIT CITY, Nov 19: With the intensification of the electoral competition, a number of Kuwaiti residents of Sabahiya area expressed their concerns and demands to the members of the upcoming National Assembly, insisting that the most important demands are to improve the living conditions of citizens, drop loans, and bettering the living conditions of retirees, addressing high prices, and protecting citizens’ capabilities from the economic fluctuations, hinting at the state’s inability to pay salaries, reports Al-Rai daily.

In this regard, one of the Kuwaiti residents Mohammad Al-Ajmi said, “The most important thing to be done is to combat financial corruption, which has become widespread in recent times and caused great frustration among citizens. We also want to combat the negative phenomena of bribery and money laundering which have also become widespread.

The situation in the past years has been very bad for the citizens. “Unfortunately, there are voices coming out to us saying there will be no salaries, and that the State’s financial capacity has begun to collapse due to the successive thefts. Where have we reached on this issue? What has the Parliament presented to us in the form of solutions regarding these issues which affect the homeland and citizens?
