Restaurant in Capital governorate closed and seized for serving eggs past expiry date, authorities say.
KUWAIT CITY, Sept 2: The Public Authority for Food and Nutrition has closed a restaurant in the Capital Governorate after discovering it was using spoiled eggs that had expired more than two months ago. The expired eggs were being served to customers despite being unfit for human consumption.
The Capital Governorate Inspection Department conducted a routine inspection, which led to the issuance of a seizure report and the immediate closure of the facility. The case has been referred to the Public Prosecution for further legal action due to the serious violations committed, which cannot be reconciled.
