KUWAIT CITY, Sept 24: With the Central Agency for Public Tenders close to finalizing the bid prices for companies that meet the requirements for road maintenance projects, sources from the Ministry of Public Works stated that contracts are expected to be signed with the winning companies before the end of October. This will allow for maintenance operations to commence by mid-November.

The sources explained that once CAPT approves the final bid prices during a negotiation session scheduled for Tuesday, the ministry will forward the approval to the Audit Bureau for its final endorsement, clearing the way for contract signings by the end of October. This move aligns with government directives to expedite road maintenance procedures. Regarding the start date for the maintenance work, some companies have indicated they will be ready to begin operations within a week of signing the contract, while others have requested up to a month to commence.
