KUWAIT CITY, Nov 24: Ali Abdulwahab Al Mutawa Commercial Co. (AAW) announced today a partnership with the Kuwait Society for the Care of Cancer Patients (KSCCP) to provide advanced cancer drugs from Hoffmann-La Roche, the Swiss multinational healthcare company. This initiative aims to bring hope to expatriate cancer patients in Kuwait, making lymphoma treatment more accessible.
The partnership agreement was signed at AAW's headquarters on Wednesday, November 20th, during a meeting between AAW Chairman and CEO, Mr. Faisal Ali Al Mutawa, and KSCCP Mr. Mohamed Mubarak Al Otaibi, in the presence of the Vice President Hamoud Ali Al-Mutairi, and a delegation from Roche, including the Regional Manager for the Gulf, Dr. Ahmed Tawfik, and Dr. Ali Abu Sharkh.
AAW CEO and Chairman, Mr. Faisal Ali Al Mutawa said, "We are pleased to sign this agreement with the Kuwait Society for the Care of Cancer Patients to provide the latest medications for critical cases of cancer to expatriate patients who are unable to bear the costs of treatment. This initiative is a noble humanitarian act that instills hope and alleviates the suffering of patients."
He added, "We extend our gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of this initiative, with special thanks to the KSCCP, under the patronage of Mr. Mohammed Mubarak Al-Otaibi. At AAW, we remain committed to improving patients' lives and supporting charitable organizations addressing various illnesses."
KSCCP Chairman, Mr. Mohamed Mubarak Al Otaibi said,“This partnership with AAW reflects our shared commitment to providing compassionate care and hope to expatriate cancer patients in Kuwait. By making lymphoma treatments more accessible and affordable, we are easing their burden and supporting their recovery. Since its establishment, AAW has been dedicated to supporting organizations in the field of health awareness. The company has contributed to initiatives such as the Ruqaya Abdulwahab Al-Qatami Breast Cancer Foundation, and the National Cancer Awareness Campaign (CAN), among others.
