Sabah Al-Ahmad records highest rainfall, Kaifan and Kuwait City receive the least
Kuwait records varying rainfall across the country.

KUWAIT CITY, March 6: The Director of the Meteorology Department, Dharar Al-Ali, reported on Thursday that the department's monitoring stations recorded varying amounts of rainfall across Kuwait, with the highest observed in the Sabah Al-Ahmad area at 2.8 mm. This was followed by the Saad Al-Abdullah area, which received 1.9 mm, and both Al-Khiran and Al-Julai'a with 1.3 mm each. The Jahra and Wafra areas recorded 0.8 mm of rain.

Al-Ali explained that the Meteorology Department also observed rainfall in other areas, including Matarbah with 0.7 mm and Al-Salmi with 0.6 mm. The lowest rainfall was recorded in Kaifan and Kuwait City, with both areas receiving 0.5 mm.

He further explained that the country had been experiencing a rainy weather pattern since the morning of the day before yesterday, as a result of a low-pressure system extending from a deep depression in the upper layers of the atmosphere. This system caused varying amounts of rainfall across different parts of the country, with data continuing to be recorded up until Wednesday.

Al-Ali forecasted that the rain would continue until Saturday and urged both citizens and residents to stay informed about the latest weather developments. He advised people to follow the weather bulletins via the Meteorology Department's official website and app for updates and to check for any weather warnings that may be issued.
