KUWAIT CITY, Jan 11: The Sahari Resort Equestrian Championship kicks off this afternoon, featuring riders from local clubs competing at the Subhan equestrian track.

Dalal Al-Obaid, the General Manager of Equestrianism at Sahari Resort, highlighted the significance of the competition taking place in the new arena recently imported from the Netherlands. A specialized Dutch team oversaw the setup, and the tournament consists of 6 rounds at various altitudes.

Ensuring inclusivity, Al-Obaid emphasized, "We ensured that the obstacle heights are suitable for all participants, minimizing exertion. These competitions play a crucial role in preparing horses for upcoming international events."

Expressing enthusiasm, Al-Obaid stated, "This championship marks the inaugural show jumping competition in the new Sahara Health arena. Our goal is to provide optimal facilities for riders, ultimately elevating the standard of equestrianism in Kuwait. The championship serves as valuable preparation for riders gearing up for international competitions scheduled in Kuwait next February."

The referees' committee for the tournament is led by international referee Nadhar Al-Mustafa, with Dalal Al-Obaid, Lama Abdel-Al, and Sarah Al-Mohammed, an arena referee. The center's design is credited to Abdulaziz Al-Ajeel, with assistance from Mohamed Al-Saeed, Faisal Al-Rifai, and Mohamed Behbehani.
