KUWAIT CITY, Jan 9: In the 14th round of the local Premier League (Zain League), Salmiya Football Club emerged victorious over Jahra with a final score of 2-1 on Tuesday. The match, held at Ali Sabah Al-Salem Stadium, witnessed Al-Salmiya securing crucial points in the last minutes, elevating their total to 20 points and placing them in fifth position. Meanwhile, Al-Jahra remained at the bottom of the standings with only two points.

The scoring action began with Al-Jahra's Muhannad Al-Mahamid finding the net in the 29th minute. However, Al-Salmiya bounced back, equalizing in the 76th minute courtesy of their professional player, Alex Lima. The turning point came in the 96th minute when Yousef Al-Onaizan extended Al-Salmiya's lead.
