KUWAIT CITY, April 13: The Ministry of Electricity and Water announced that the Salmiya W main transformer station has gone out of service, resulting in a partial power outage affecting several areas within the Hawalli Governorate mainly Salmiya, Jabriya and Bayan. Emergency teams have been dispatched and are working to restore electricity, with power expected to return within an hour, the ministry confirmed.
As per the latest news, The Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy has successfully restored the Salmiya main substation to service after resolving the emergency fault. The ministry stated that efforts are currently underway to gradually restore electricity to the affected sub-feeders.
