Salwa Al Sabah Club captain receives the Super Cup from Dr. Jaber Al-Marri, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Volleyball Federation.
KUWAIT CITY, Nov 30: In a commanding display, Salwa Al-Sabah Club's women's volleyball team secured the Women’s Super Cup championship title by defeating Al-Fatah Club in a resounding three-game victory. The final match, held at the Al-Ittihad Hall in the Sheikh Saad Al-Abdullah Complex, concluded with a scoreline of “25-16, 25-22, 25-19.” This remarkable achievement marks Salwa Al-Sabah's girls' inaugural title in the women’s volleyball competitions for the new 2023-2024 season.
The Women's Super Cup's decisive match, which determined the crowned champions, witnessed the presence of Dr. Jaber Al-Marri, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Volleyball Federation, and Nayef Al-Khamili, a Board Member.
Al-Fatah Club had previously secured their place in the Super Cup final by triumphing in the preliminary round against Al-Ayoun girls.
Looking ahead, the general league championship for women is set to kick off next Sunday. The competition will feature participation from Al-Ayoun, Al-Fatah, and Salwa Al-Sabah girls' clubs, extending until March 20. The Super Cup victory provides Salwa Al-Sabah with a strong start to the season as they prepare for the upcoming league battles.
