RABAT, Feb 4: The Saudi Al-Hilal on Saturday defeated the Moroccan Wydad, representative of the host nation, on penalty kicks 5-3, booking its ticket for the FIFA Club World Cup semifinals. Wydad's Ayoub El Amloud scored the opener in the 52nd minute of the game, played at Moulay Abdellah Stadium in the Moroccan capital Rabat.

Mohammad Kanno equalized for Al-Hilal in the 93rd minute, taking the game to 30 minutes extra-time which also ended in 1-1 tie, forcing the two teams to penalty shootouts. The Saudi team scored all the five kicks to secure the victory and the Moroccan missed two. The Saudi team qualified for the semifinal and will play against the Brazilian Flamengo team on Tuesday.
