Saudi Arabia Executes Two for Drug Smuggling and Murder

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 27: The Saudi Ministry of Interior released statements confirming the execution of two individuals for serious crimes, marking a strict commitment to enforcing Sharia-based judicial rulings. The first individual, a Jordanian national identified as H.T., was arrested for smuggling synthetic drugs into Saudi Arabia. Following an investigation, he was charged, and his sentencing was upheld by the Supreme Court and confirmed by royal decree. His discretionary punishment was carried out in the Tabuk region on October 16, 2024.

The second case involved a Saudi citizen, A.A., found guilty of murder after fatally stabbing another Saudi citizen, Mazen bin Mufreh Al-Mazni. The court charged A.A. with premeditated murder, and after his appeals were exhausted, his sentence was carried out in Asir, also on October 16, 2024.

In its statement, the Ministry emphasized Saudi Arabia’s commitment to justice, upholding security, and the application of Sharia law for violent crimes, warning others against similar offenses.
