Saudi Arabia Imposes SR 50,000 Fine and 6-Month Jail Term for Visa Overstays

KUWAIT CITY, April 22: The Saudi Ministry of Interior has announced that expatriates who remain in the country after the expiration of their visit visa will face penalties including a fine of up to 50,000 riyals, imprisonment for up to six months, and deportation. The Ministry emphasized the importance of complying with all Hajj and Umrah regulations and guidelines currently in effect in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
