RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, April 26: As millions of Muslims prepare for the annual Hajj pilgrimage, Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has confirmed its full readiness for the 2025 Hajj season. The ministry has introduced a wide range of initiatives aimed at improving the pilgrim experience in line with national objectives.

Among the key measures, the ministry has simplified the issuance of temporary work permits through the “Ajeer” platform. This initiative is designed to facilitate seasonal employment during Hajj, ensuring that necessary services are adequately staffed.

In addition, the ministry is working to make Hajj and Umrah work visas more accessible for businesses involved in supporting the pilgrimage. This effort aims to ensure a stable and efficient workforce is present at essential service points throughout the holy sites.

To uphold labor standards during this critical period, the ministry will intensify inspection visits. These inspections will focus on enforcing the Kingdom’s Labour Law and its regulations, safeguarding appropriate working conditions for employees engaged during the pilgrimage.

Beyond employment and regulatory support, the ministry is expanding its social services across the holy sites. Pilgrims will benefit from access to family counseling and a variety of social support services. Notably, children's hospitality centers, staffed by trained professionals, will be available to offer supervised care.

Volunteerism is also a major focus for the 2025 season. The ministry is actively promoting and organizing volunteer activities, ranging from welcoming pilgrims at border checkpoints to providing guidance inside the Grand Mosque. Volunteers will assist the elderly and people with disabilities, as well as help distribute food and water across the pilgrimage zones.

These efforts underscore the ministry’s commitment to delivering a safe, supportive, and enriching Hajj experience for all pilgrims.
