Saudi gets 7 years jail in for nationality forgery

KUWAIT CITY, Feb 4: The Kuwaiti Court of Cassation, led by Counselor Abdullah Jassim Al-Abdullah, has sentenced a Saudi national to seven years in prison for forging the Kuwaiti citizenship. The man, employed as a correspondent in the Ministry of Justice, was found guilty of impersonating the son of a Kuwaiti citizen who has gone missing since 1995. He unlawfully obtained approximately 498,000 Kuwaiti dinars in benefits, including 62,000 dinars in salaries from the Ministry of Justice, 5,750 dinars from the Credit Bank, 20,000 dinars from the Public Authority for Manpower, and 17,000 dinars from Housing Care. The court also imposed a fine equivalent to the amount fraudulently acquired.
