RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, Oct 11, (Agencies): The King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Center in Saudi Arabia has introduced its groundbreaking humanoid robot staff member, "Nour R1," designed to assist both hospital personnel and visitors. According to hospital leadership, this robot has been specially programmed to provide cutting-edge information and communication technology services to the hospital staff, with the aim of enhancing the overall experience for both employees and patients.

This innovative robot is capable of accurately and efficiently responding to inquiries, marking a substantial shift in the utilization of technology within healthcare facilities in Saudi Arabia. Nour R1 is stationed in the hospital's Healthcare Information Technology Affairs department, offering technical support in both Arabic and English languages.

KFSHRC, the hospital, has highlighted Nour R1's distinguishing features, including its ability to interact, communicate, and recognize the faces of staff members. In the future, the robot is expected to take on additional roles, such as providing directions, addressing patient queries, and delivering real-time updates on hospital events and activities.
