RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, April 20: The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia has announced that June 6, Dhul Qadah 29, 1445, will mark the final day for Umrah pilgrims to depart from the Kingdom, in preparation for the upcoming Hajj season.
According to the ministry, the Umrah visa granted to foreign pilgrims is valid for 90 days from the date of entry into Saudi Arabia. This clarification comes in response to a surge in inquiries received through the ministry’s “Beneficiary Care” account on the X social media platform.
The announcement follows earlier reports indicating Dhul Qadah 15, 1445, as the deadline for Umrah visa holders to enter Saudi Arabia this year. Additionally, it was clarified that the validity of the visa extends for three months from the date of issuance, rather than from the date of entry.
Emphasizing the fixed duration of the Umrah visa, the ministry stressed that it will not be extended beyond 90 days and cannot be converted into another visa type.
Prospective pilgrims can submit their applications for Umrah visas through approved electronic platforms dedicated to Umrah services.
This measure aims to ensure a smooth and organized flow of pilgrims to the holy cities of Makkah and Medina for the annual Hajj pilgrimage, attracting visitors from various parts of the world.
