Dramatic weather shift to last until Saturday

KUWAIT CITY, March 4: Weather forecaster at the Meteorology Department in the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) Abdulaziz Al-Qarawi said the country will be affected by a low-pressure area; hence, the intermittent rainfall from Tuesday evening until Saturday. In an interview with the newspaper Al- Qarawi explained that the rainfall will vary in intensity, ranging from light to moderate, with the possibility of thunderstorms on Wednesday and Thursday in different parts of the country. He added the southeasterly winds will intensify, reaching speeds of up to 50 kilometers per hour, which may increase dust and cause waves to rise to six feet. Looking ahead to next week, Al-Qarawi indicated that the weather will be springlike, with rainfall expected on Saturday. “From Sunday onwards, temperatures will become more moderate, with warm days and cooler evenings,” he revealed. Regarding the upcoming holidays, he stated that the weather will be warm during the day with a summery atmosphere; while the evenings will be cooler with more crisp temperatures.
