His Highness the late Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 20: The Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR) and its leaders expressed their grief over the passing of His Highness the late Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad. They hailed him as a statesman dedicated to supporting scientific research, fostering a knowledge economy, and utilizing technology for the benefit of humanity.

Abdul Mohsen Al-Haroun, Executive Director of the Marketing and Commercial Operations Sector, conveyed the institute's condolences, emphasizing His Highness's role in encouraging science and scholars. Al-Haroun praised the late Amir's lifelong dedication to serving the people and the nation, highlighting his pivotal contributions to development and his significant stance on national, Arab, and international issues.

Reflecting on the loss, Al-Haroun extended sincere condolences to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad, the Al-Sabah family, the government, and the Kuwaiti people. He acknowledged the profound impact of His Highness's leadership characterized by wisdom, moderation, foresight, and support for dialogue and solidarity.

Dr. Ahmed Al-Mulla, Acting Executive Director of the Energy and Construction Research Center, described the late Amir as a caring father to the people, diligently working for Kuwait's development until his last day. Al-Mulla expressed heartfelt condolences, praying for divine mercy and patience.

Dr. Khaled Al-Barrak, Acting Executive Director of the Water Research Center, emphasized His Highness's continuous support for scientific research, recognizing his vital role in advancing technology for the nation's benefit. Al-Barrak noted His Highness's consistent encouragement of researchers and expressed confidence that the current leadership, led by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad, will continue this supportive role.

Director of the Infrastructure Sustainability and Reliability Program, Dr. Sheikha Al-Sanad, mourned the late Amir as a just ruler, expressing deep sorrow for the loss. She praised His Highness's contributions to various sectors, working towards economic, social, and cultural development and strengthening Kuwait's international standing.

Fattouh Al-Raqam, Director of the Energy Efficiency Technologies Program, conveyed her sorrow, describing the late Amir as a kind and wise leader. She emphasized the enduring impact of His Highness's legacy on progress and humanity.

A researcher at the Center for Environmental and Life Sciences Research, Dr. Sultan Al-Salem, hailed the late Amir's unwavering support for science and the country's development. Al-Salem shared personal experiences reflecting the late Emir's tenderness, love, humility, and generosity.

Fadila Al-Salameen, Director of the Biotechnology Program, mourned the passing of the "caring father," expressing condolences and praising His Highness's commitment to science, education, and the empowerment of women.
