KUWAIT CITY, July 6: In a coordinated effort early yesterday morning, the Security Control and Support Team of the Correctional Institutions, in collaboration with detectives from the General Department for Combating Drugs and the General Department of Special Forces, conducted a thorough inspection campaign within the wards of the Central Prison. The primary objective of the operation was to locate and confiscate contraband items.

According to a security source, the campaign proved successful as authorities seized a significant quantity of prohibited items. Among the confiscated items were mobile phones, sharp objects, drug paraphernalia, pills, and narcotic substances. The source highlighted that security personnel promptly referred both the seized items and the inmates found in possession of them to the appropriate authorities for further legal action.

The operation underscores ongoing efforts by prison officials and law enforcement agencies to maintain security and prevent illegal activities within correctional facilities.
