The 32-year-old "Only Murders in the Building" actress announced recent speculations that she engaged in gossip about Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet to Taylor Swift at the 2024 Golden Globes on Sunday.

In her Instagram Story, Gomez shared a video featuring her record producer boyfriend, Benny Blanco, spending quality time with two kids. Alongside the video, she wrote, "Focusing on what matters. I'm off social media for a while." This decision comes shortly after she attended the 81st Golden Globes and was captured having an animated conversation with Swift and Keleigh Sperry at their table.

Previously, in October, the singer briefly left social media, citing concerns about the world's horrors, hate, violence, and terror. She expressed her sorrow for innocent people getting hurt and called for an end to violence. Gomez emphasized that a mere post wouldn't be enough to bring about change.

This isn't the first time Gomez has taken a social media break; in February 2023, she temporarily left the platform shortly after surpassing Kylie Jenner as the most followed person on Instagram, citing that she felt "too old for this."

The recent speculation about Gomez gossiping at the Golden Globes involved an alleged conversation with Swift, where lip-reading experts believed she discussed asking Chalamet for a picture, but Jenner refused. Gomez denied this on an E! News Instagram post, clarifying that she was sharing information about her friends hooking up.

Chalamet also dismissed any rumors of a feud between Gomez and Kylie Jenner, stating that everything is good between them. Gomez and Chalamet had previously collaborated on the 2019 rom-com "A Rainy Day in New York."
