KUWAIT CITY, April 12: The Court of Appeals, presided over by Judge Nasr Salem Al-Haid and including judges Saud Al-Sanea and Tariq Metwally, upheld the acquittal of a 60-year-old Kuwaiti citizen, known as “a fake tweeter”, on charges of broadcasting false news and endangering Kuwaiti-Egyptian relations. The court upheld the ruling issued to impose a KD 2,000 fine on the defendant for insulting expatriate advisors and misusing telecommunication means via the X platform in a hashtag for discussing a contract with artist Bayoumi Fouad to present a program through the Ministry of Information
