KUWAIT CITY, Dec 10: Capital Governor Sheikh Abdullah Salem Al-Ali Al-Sabah stated on Tuesday that Shaheed Park stands as a national development project and a major tourist attraction, comparable to the latest entertainment developments in the Middle East. He highlighted the park as a comprehensive tourist and entertainment hub that honors the martyrs and carries numerous historical and heritage landmarks.
The governor's comments came in a press statement issued by the Capital Governorate after his inspection tour of the park, which included the third phase of its development. The tour was attended by Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Engineering Affairs at the Amiri Diwan, Eng. Bader Al-Enezi, along with the project team consisting of engineers Omar Al-Nakheelan, Bader Al-Habib, Abdullah Al-Alyan, Jana Al-Ghannam, Munira Al-Mudhaf, and Fatima Ashkanani.
Sheikh Abdullah expressed his admiration for the modern designs and international standards seen in the third phase of the project, noting that it is a development initiative that reflects the country's civilized face.
The statement added that during the tour, the governor reviewed the achievements and ongoing works within the third phase of the park. He was briefed by the project team about the new facilities and buildings, as well as the projects currently underway.
The governor also visited several sites and amenities within this phase, including the theater, green spaces, playgrounds, skating rink, and various other recreational areas.
