KUWAIT CITY, Jan 13, (KUNA): Sheikh Abdullah Mubarak Al-Sabah Shooting Championship, which included air guns and archeries, concluded competitions Saturday.

Sheikh Mubarak Abdullah Al- Sabah, speaking to reporters after the conclusion of the championship, said the family of Sheikh Abdullah was keen on organizing the tournament every year in recognition of late Sheikh Abdullah and a support for Kuwait Shooting Club.

Hamad Al-Namshan, from Kuwait National Guard (KNG), won the Men’s Air Pistol competition while KNG’s Sultan Al-Usaimi won the Air Gun event. Kuwait Shooting Club’s Abdullah Taha won the Archery competition.

Amira Al-Mordhi, of Kuwait Shooting Club, won the Women’s Air Pistol competition while Maryam Erzouqi won the Air Gun shooting event. Abdulrahman Al-Hamad won the Juniors’ Air Pistol medal, Saud Al- Subaiee claimed the Air Gun title and Yara Al-Khalaf won the Girls’ Air Gun title.

Meanwhile, Kuwait’s Yusuf Al- Abdelrazzaq, the world’s top seed, secured the first position in the first race of the 2019 UAE Aquabike Championship held at Mercato Beach in Jumeirah resort in collaboration with the Union Internationale Motonautique (UIM) on Saturday
