KUWAIT CITY, July 31: Sheikh Khaled Al-Badr, Chairman of the Water Sports Federation, commended the Public Authority for Sports' recent directive requiring clubs with swimming pools to consult the Water Sports Federation before issuing any special licenses or entering into contracts with swimming academies. This review process is crucial for ensuring that all trainer certifications and applicant documents are approved by the Federation, which is responsible for maintaining safety standards and advancing the sport.
Shiekh Al-Badr emphasized that this circular is a significant and positive development, reflecting the commitment of officials to Kuwaiti sports. He expressed hope that this initiative will lead to increased efforts, improved coordination, and dedicated work to enhance Kuwaiti sports overall.
He also noted that the Water Sports Federation is eager to collaborate with all stakeholders and has a clear strategy to broaden the participation of youth. The Federation aims to share knowledge and expertise, align with continental and international standards set by the Asian and International Federations, and implement regulations that will support Kuwait's progress in water sports.
