PARIS, Aug 11: Sheikh Khaled Al-Badr, President of the Kuwaiti and Asian Aquatics Federations, took part in awarding the winners of the men's 10-meter diving competition at the Olympic Games in France.

Sheikh Al-Badr noted that the diving events were marked by intense competition, strength, and determination from all participants, each striving for a place in the history books of the Olympic Games. He highlighted the success of athletes from the Asian continent, who secured medals and stood on the podiums after a fiercely contested competition, reinforcing Asia's continued prominence in aquatics competitions.

He emphasized that the Kuwaiti Aquatics Federation will begin preparations to qualify athletes for the upcoming Olympics in Los Angeles in 2028. During the Paris Olympics, A Sheikh Badr also met with Hussein Al-Musallam, President of the International Aquatics Federation, and Qunlila Lindlebig, a member of the International Olympic Committee and Secretary of ANOC, to discuss ways to further develop the sport.
