Sheikh Sabah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah

Sheikh Sabah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah emphasized that equestrianism embodies ethics, challenge, and sophistication—qualities he hopes to see in all practitioners. However, he lamented that some have reduced equestrianism to a mere business venture, while sports, in general, have become political platforms lacking meaningful development for years.

He pointed out that few athletes prioritize the future and advancement of the sport, with most participants in equestrian races driven by the pursuit of quick profits and fleeting fame. These trends, he noted, have contributed to a decline in the overall quality and standards of the sport.|

Sheikh Al-Mubarak expressed gratitude to the management of the Arabian Horse Center "Beit Al Arab," praising it as a model professional sports institution. He urged others to draw inspiration from this successful organization, which continues to support and nurture Kuwaiti equestrianism.

He also congratulated the equestrian community in Kuwait on the resumption of temporary equine exports after a 10-year hiatus. This step, facilitating local and international participation, marks a significant milestone for the sport in the region.
