Sheikh Fahad welcomes Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki.
Ambassador Al-Jedaie hosts a banquet in honour of the Kuwaiti delegation to the Olympics.

PARIS, July 30: The Chairman of the Kuwaiti Olympic Committee, Sheikh Fahad Al-Nasser, affirmed that Kuwaiti-Saudi sports relations are strong and growing stronger, thanks to the directives of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad, and the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz.

This statement was made to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) following Sheikh Fahad's attendance at a reception held by the Saudi Olympic Committee for its Chairman, Prince Abdulaziz bin Turki Al-Faisal, in Paris.

Sheikh Fahad noted the recent development of Saudi sports across various levels and congratulated the Saudi leadership and people on completing the Kingdom's candidacy file to host the 2034 World Cup, which was submitted to FIFA. He highlighted Saudi Arabia's dedication to sports and youth. He also expressed his wishes for the Saudi delegation to participate in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games to achieve success, along with all Gulf and Arab teams.

During his visit to Paris, Sheikh Fahad also visited the UAE Olympic House and met with Sheikh Rashid Al Nuaimi, Vice President of the UAE Olympic Committee and Head of the UAE delegation. He emphasized the importance of bilateral meetings to strengthen Kuwaiti-Emirati sports relations and commended the UAE's focus on youth and sports development. The meeting included Sheikh Fahad Al-Nasser, Vice President of the Kuwaiti Olympic Committee Sheikh Mubarak Al-Faisal, and Assistant Secretary-General of the Olympic Committee Ali Al Marri.

Kuwait’s shooter Khaled Al-Mudhaf, did not qualify for the final round in the individual trap competition at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Al-Mudhaf finished 16th out of 30 participants, falling short of the top six spots needed to advance. He scored 120 out of 125 targets.

Al-Mudhaf expressed his disappointment, stating that he gave his best effort but faced strong competition and high scores in the final rounds. He thanked the Kuwaiti audience for their support and vowed to achieve better results in future tournaments.

Kuwaiti swimmer Mohammed Al-Zubaid, aged 16, did not advance past the 100m freestyle heats, finishing sixth in his group and 63rd overall with a time of 52.35 seconds.

Kuwait’s Ambassador to France, Mohammed Al-Jedaie, hosted a dinner in honour of the head of the Kuwaiti delegation to the Paris 2024 Olympics, Sheikh Fahad, along with delegation members, including Vice President of the Olympic Committee Sheikh Mubarak, Assistant Secretary-General Ali Al-Marri, Board member Fatima Hayat, and the national team’s technical and administrative staff and athletes.
