Sheikh Khaled Al-Badr

KUWAIT CITY, Dec 28: Sheikh Khaled Al-Badr Al-Sabah, President of the Kuwaiti and Asian Aquatics Federations, expressed his immense happiness at the qualification of the Kuwaiti national team to the semi-finals of the Khaleeji Zain 26 tournament.

In a press release, Sheikh Khaled praised the competitive and enthusiastic atmosphere of the tournament.

He highlighted the brotherly spirit shared among the participating teams, as well as the remarkable public presence, which strengthens the bonds of unity and solidarity between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

Sheikh Khaled congratulated the players, the technical and administrative staff, and the members of the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Football Association for the outstanding performance displayed by the Kuwaiti national team during the preliminary rounds.

He extended his gratitude to all those involved in organizing the event, which succeeded in showcasing the civilized and honourable face of Kuwait. From the opening ceremony to the smooth organization and the facilities provided for the fans, everything was executed with great skill.

Sheikh Khaled expressed his hope that the tournament's bright image would be crowned with the Kuwaiti national team emerging as a deserving champion.

He congratulated the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on being selected as the hosts of the Gulf 27 Cup tournament, unanimously by the members of the General Assembly of the Arabian Gulf Cup Federation. This reflects Saudi Arabia's prominent position and the successes it achieved in recent years by hosting several important sporting events and activities. It also highlights Saudi Arabia's ability to deliver a distinctive version of the tournament, thanks to the continuous development of its sports system, which has become an exemplary model for others to follow.

Sheikh also congratulated the Chair and members of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Water Sports Federation on assuming their new roles and wished them success in advancing water sports in Saudi Arabia.

He expressed his anticipation for further cooperation in this regard to achieve the shared goals.
