KUWAIT CITY, Dec 14: President of the Kuwait and Asian Water Sports Federations Sheikh Khaled Al-Badr Al-Sabah congratulated Saudi Arabia and Morocco on winning the FIFA World Cup bids.
In a press release, Sheikh Khaled expressed great happiness over Saudi Arabia's successful bid to host the 2035 FIFA World Cup.
He explained that this achievement is a clear confirmation from international sports organizations of Saudi Arabia's advanced capabilities and its ability to organize major sporting events, as well as the remarkable development it achieved in multiple sectors, which positioned it as one of the leading nations to host such a prestigious competition.
Sheikh Khaled also congratulated Morocco on securing the 2030 World Cup, which will be hosted in partnership with Spain and Portugal.
On the sidelines of his visit to Hungary to attend the World Swimming Championships, Sheikh Khaled met with the Vice President of the Saudi Olympic Committee Prince Fahad bin Jalawi to discuss many topics related to sports affairs at the regional and global levels
Sheikh Khaled confirmed that his meeting with His Highness Prince Fahd bin Jalawi was productive, as they discussed ways to enhance cooperation and exchange ideas between the Asian Aquatics Federation and the Saudi Olympic Committee in order to advance and improve aquatics, in line with the keenness of Prince Fahad for Saudi Arabia to continue with its sports renaissance in all disciplines, under the guidance of the wise political leadership.
In addition, Sheikh Khaled met with the President of the International Greco-Roman Wrestling Federation Serbian Nenad Ovech, and later with the Mexican Minister of Sports and Youth.
