KUWAIT CITY, Oct 28: Sheikh Salman Al-Hamoud, the President of the Asian Shooting Federation, officially opened the 15th Asian Comprehensive Shooting Championship, currently taking place in Chungwan, South Korea. The championship features the participation of 30 Asian countries, all vying for qualification spots at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. The event was graced with the presence of South Korean government representatives, Asian Federation officials, and Kuwait's Ambassador to Korea, Dhiab Al-Rashidi.

Sheikh Salman Al-Hamoud expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to the Korean government for their gracious hosting of this significant tournament. Over the course of the championship, 24 slots for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games will be allocated. He also extended his gratitude to the Supreme Organizing Committee for their dedication to making the event a success and wished all the participating Asian athletes the very best.

Highlighting the supportive role played by Kuwait's Ambassador to Korea, Al-Rashidi, Sheikh Al-Hamoud praised his efforts in uniting with the Kuwaiti shooting delegation and providing unwavering moral support to the athletes.

The Kuwaiti shooting team's delegation, led by Dr. Nidal Ahmed, a member of the Board of Directors, comprises 20 male and female shooters along with administrative and technical staff. They will be competing in a variety of shooting disciplines, including shotgun shooting (skeet and clay) and bullet shooting (pistol and rifle). The talented Kuwaiti shooters aspire to enhance their illustrious shooting careers and secure qualification spots for the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
