KUWAIT CITY, Mar 6: During a recent committee meeting, officials reviewed a case involving a Syrian national who fraudulently acquired Kuwaiti citizenship under Article 1 before fleeing the country. The individual, whose Syrian sister resides in Kuwait and maintains regular contact with him, is at the center of a forgery scandal.
According to informed sources, the Syrian man gave money to his sister to leave Kuwait, he gave her substantial sums of money. However, his sister was apprehended and arrested at the airport while attempting to depart. During interrogation, she confessed to her involvement in the forgery scheme and revealed that her brother had sent her a message urging her to leave Kuwait, stating, “Don’t cut off my children’s livelihood.” Authorities conducted genetic fingerprint testing, which conclusively confirmed the forgery. The investigation remains ongoing as officials work to uncover further details about the case.
