Six Arrested for Assaulting Officer, One Suspect Still at Large

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 5: Six individuals have been arrested for assaulting a corporal officer, and a search is ongoing to find another suspect who is still at large. One among them was discovered to have violated the residency law and had drugs.

According to security sources, patrol officers were conducting a routine check-in in Granada when they saw a luxury vehicle parked in the middle of the road. As officers approached the vehicle to issue a ticket, the vehicle’s occupant ran into a nearby house. Another individual who had parked next to the vehicle tried to flee as well but he was detained. He resisted strongly but officers managed to subdue him. They discovered that he violated the residency law. They searched for him and found drugs. By then, five individuals emerged from the house, pushed one of the officers, and obstructed his efforts to perform his duties.

The officers requested additional backup, and eventually, the five suspects were arrested. The owner of the house where the violator had sought refuge denied that anyone had entered his house or that the officer had been assaulted. It remains unclear whether there were any surveillance cameras nearby that captured the incident. A case was filed, and a search has begun for the seventh suspect who managed to escape.
