Siyah and Al-A’rab steal the spotlight at Sheikh Khaled Duaij Al-Salman Cup

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 21: The horse "Siyah" from Al-Zaabi Stable, trained by Khaled Al-Suhail and ridden by jockey Luciano, triumphed in the late Sheikh Khaled Duaij Al-Salman Al-Sabah Cup. The race took place during the fourth mixed round over a distance of 1,600 meters, with Siyah completing the course in 1:42.52 minutes. The event was part of the 12th horse racing meeting at the Hunting and Equestrian Club.

In the fifth round, a (40-75 C4 handicap) over 2,400 meters, the horse "Al-A’rab" from Al-Zamel and Abu Jahoum Stables claimed victory. Under the guidance of trainer Mubarak Al-Ajmi and jockey Ali Al-Farmawi, Al-A’rab won the Sheikh Duaij Al-Salman Cup, finishing in 2:40.50 minutes. Sheikh Duaij Khaled Al-Duaij presented the cups to the winners, while Ali Al-Fahd, the Director General of the Hunting and Equestrian Club, presented a commemorative shield to Sheikh Khaled Duaij Al-Salman Al-Sabah in recognition of his enduring support for Kuwaiti equestrianism.

Sheikh Khaled Al-Duaij reaffirmed his commitment to supporting and sponsoring Kuwaiti equestrian sports and horse racing, emphasizing the need for increased backing for horse owners and fans of this competitive sport. He highlighted his late father, Sheikh Khaled Al-Duaij, as one of the founders of Kuwaiti equestrian sports, and noted that Al-Masayel Stable remains one of the oldest and most esteemed stables in Kuwait.
