Social Affairs plans to reclaim wedding venues from donors

KUWAIT CITY, Jan 23: Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailah reaffirmed the ministry’s plan to reclaim the wedding venues that had been returned to the donors. During her meeting with officials from the ministry’s community development centers, Al-Huwailah responded to employees’ requests to reinstate the shift allowance for inspectors, stating, “Kuwait is a land of goodness and does not fall short; it is generous to those who deserve it.” She affirmed that she takes full political responsibility for any shortcomings within the ministry.

The minister said, “It is my policy to meet with all employees of the ministry because this matter is very important to me. I learn from them, and I take full political responsibility for any shortcomings. I do not shy away from my responsibilities, and we do not blame others. In this ministry, we contribute to building and serving this country, and every effort is appreciated by me and the leadership. “We are all involved in addressing any shortcomings, and your role as employees is to alert us to shortcomings, if any, so that we can deal with them. I have confidence in every employee, each in their position, to put forth their best effort. We are all in the same boat, and my office door is always open. I am here to listen to any grievances or suggestions, and to serve you and your interests.” She highlighted that Kuwait is currently serving as the presidency of the Gulf Cooperation Council for ministries of Social Affairs this year.
