KUWAIT CITY, Oct 27: The Criminal Investigation Department, successfully apprehended a gang accused of blackmail, coercion, and theft. The group allegedly threatened victims and extorted money using various forms of deception.
This operation followed a report from a victim who claimed to have been deceived by someone posing as a young woman on a social media platform. After an intensive investigation, criminal investigators identified the suspects and obtained legal authorization from the Public Prosecution to proceed with the arrests.
When confronted, the suspects confessed to their crimes, revealing how they lured, threatened, and forcibly stole money from their victims. They have been referred to the relevant authorities for further legal action.
