Kuwait City, Apr 03: Kuwait Telecommunications Company – stc, a world-class digital leader providing innovative services and platforms to customers, enabling the digital transformation in Kuwait, hosted a Quran memorization contest during the Holy Month of Ramadan. The contest aimed to encourage children to memorize the Holy Quran and organized in collaboration with the Imam of Grand Mosque Sheikh Omar Al Damkhi. The initiatives come as part of stc’s month long campaign during Ramadan called “With good, we go further”, which was launched under the Company’s extensive corporate social responsibility.

The Quran memorizing contest was held at the Al-Rashid Mosque in Adaliya and will welcomed more than 80 contestants between the ages of 7-9 years old in the first category and 10-13 years old in the second category. As the hosts of the competition, stc encouraged its employees to enroll their children in the contest in commemoration of the Holy Month of Ramadan, which represents a spiritual time of the year.

A total of 4 winners were announced at the end of the contest where they received valuable prizes from stc and recognized for their outstanding capabilities in memorizing versus from the Holy Quran. stc staff participating children were also honored by the CEO Eng. Muataz Abdullah Aldharrab in a ceremony that took place at stc Head Office to recognize their efforts.
