KUWAIT CITY, May 29: The Public Authority for Manpower recently convened a meeting with representatives from various sectors of private economic activity to discuss strategies for increasing the proportion of national employment and addressing imbalances in specific sectors, reports Al-Qabas daily. During the meeting, officials praised the banking sector for its exemplary efforts in national workforce recruitment, noting that the sector has surpassed prescribed quotas with national workers constituting over 79 percent of its workforce. Seen as a frontrunner in employing national talent, the banking sector plays a pivotal role in nurturing creativity and innovation among young cadres, particularly in light of the industry’s rapid digital transformation and integration of artificial intelligence.

Moreover, employment in the banking sector aligns with Kuwait Vision 2035’s objectives by facilitating the professional development of young nationals and ensuring they remain abreast of global banking trends. The sector’s commitment to training and equipping young talents contributes to sustainable development goals while indirectly bolstering national employment rates through financing various projects and initiatives, thereby creating job opportunities and cultivating skilled national professionals vital to the country’s developmental trajectory.
