KUWAIT CITY, July 28: In a recent meeting, Acting Director General of the Public Authority for Manpower, Marzouq Al-Otaibi, and Kenyan Ambassador Halima Mahmoud discussed strategies to enhance cooperation between Kuwait and Kenya. The meeting focused on bolstering the recruitment and employment of skilled Kenyan workers in Kuwait.
Al-Otaibi highlighted the strong relations between the two countries and emphasized the Public Authority for Manpower's commitment to fostering these ties. He noted that Kuwait's labor market actively seeks professionals with the necessary specializations to meet its development needs.
"The labor market attracts workers with the specializations it needs to serve it and its needs," Al-Otaibi stated, emphasizing ongoing efforts to recruit skilled workers to support Kuwait's economic interests.
The discussions also covered urgent labor issues and sought collaborative solutions with relevant authorities. Al-Otaibi reaffirmed the authority's dedication to providing legal protection and ensuring a suitable work environment that safeguards the rights of all workers, including those from Kenya and India.
Ambassador Mahmoud expressed her gratitude to Kuwait and the Public Authority for Manpower for their efforts in addressing the concerns of the Kenyan community. She thanked the Kuwaiti government and Al-Otaibi for their continued support and cooperation.
