KUWAIT CITY, Oct 22: The incident occurred when a security officer was managing a traffic accident in Mubarak Al-Kabeer Governorate. During the process, a vehicle stopped nearby, causing further traffic congestion as the driver stood to observe the accident. The officer asked the driver to move along, but he refused, leading to a verbal altercation that escalated into a physical confrontation. The officer then called for backup.
Reinforcements arrived at the scene and brought the situation under control, arresting the driver. Upon investigation, it was revealed that the driver was a student at one of the institutes of the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training. The driver was referred for questioning, and the investigator ordered his detention, charging him with assaulting and insulting a police officer. He was subsequently transferred to the central prison, pending further investigation.
