KUWAIT CITY, Feb 14:  The Kuwaiti Paralympic Athletics Team achieved further success at the 15th Fazza International Championship (Grand Prix) in Dubai, adding two more medals to their tally on Wednesday. Yasser Al-Musallam secured the silver medal in the shot put event (F53 category), while Faisal Al-Rajhi clinched the bronze medal in the 800-meter wheelchair race (F54 category).

Speaking to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Al-Rajhi expressed his joy at winning two bronze medals in the prestigious tournament, which features top athletes from around the world and serves as a qualifier for the upcoming World Championship in Japan 2025. He emphasized the significance of this achievement in their preparation for the Olympic Games in Paris, as well as future competitions.

Al-Rajhi highlighted the team's strong performance as motivation for future success in international competitions. He also commended the support of the Kuwaiti Sports Club for the disabled, led by Shafi Al-Hajri, for their participation in important sports events. In previous events, the Kuwaiti team secured three medals, including a gold medal for Ahmed Al-Mutairi in the 100-meter wheelchair sprint (F33 category), a silver for Faisal Sorour in the shot put (F42 category), and another bronze for Faisal Al-Rajhi in the 1,500-meter wheelchair race (T54 category).
