KUWAIT CITY, Jan 22: The third “Duathlon” Championship held at the Kuwait City Motorsports track, concluded with the participation of a large number of athletes. Huda Al-Saleh, Farah Mahrez, Abdulaziz Al-Ghamdi, Saud Al- Zaabi, Khalifa Al-Nuaimi, Abdullah Al-Shammari, Osama Bourahma, and Abdulaziz Al-Hazeem won the first places in the various categories. In the Gulf category, Abdulaziz Al-Duaij came first. The tournament witnessed the presence of Sheikh Mubarak Faisal Al-Nawaf, a member of the Kuwaiti Olympic Committee.

The President of the Club and the Kuwait Triathlon Federation, Rashid Al-Kandari, praised the great technical level of the participants in the third edition of the championship. He said, “The race was strong, and all participants in all ages were keen to compete for the first positions.”

Al-Kandari indicated that the presence of the participants’ families and the game’s fans gave the race more enthusiasm. He noted the club’s keenness on the safety of all participants through the presence of ambulance personnel, and stressed the great work done by the working committees, which had a major role in the success of the tournament.

Al-Kandari also thanked the Kuwait Olympic Committee and the Public Authority for Sports for supporting the sport of duathlon, as well as Sheikh Mubarak Faisal Al-Nawaf, a member of the Kuwaiti Olympic Committee, for his attendance and follow-up to the tournament, which is considered a great moral support to the athletes
