Suspect Caught After Egyptian Victim Clings to Car Roof in Dramatic Chase

KUWAIT CITY, April 9: The incident, which resembled a scene from a movie, took place in Farwaniya when the accused stopped an Egyptian man on the street, assaulted him, stole his phone, and fled in his vehicle. However, just fifteen minutes later, the accused was surprised to find himself being chased by a highway patrol, who ordered him to pull over immediately.

When the accused stopped at the side of the road as instructed, he was astonished to see the man whose phone he had stolen clinging to the roof of his vehicle. The victim informed the police that he had held on to the car because the driver had forcibly stolen his phone. The police immediately arrested the suspect and referred him to the appropriate authorities.

During his appearance before the criminal court, the accused interrupted the judge as soon as he began to read out the charges, saying, "That's not true." The judge responded, "I haven’t even started the charge yet—listen first, then respond." Still, the accused repeated, "That's not true." The judge proceeded to list the charges, to which the accused responded with the same phrase. The court adjourned the case and appointed a lawyer to represent the accused, who denied the charges even before hearing them.
