KUWAIT CITY, Jan 9: The Criminal Court sentenced a Syrian blogger to three years imprisonment, followed by deportation, on charges of insulting the leadership of Kuwait and offending Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Tunisia on social media, as well as spreading false information. The Public Prosecution had referred him to trial on state security-related charges after he was accused of posting offensive remarks from a pseudonymous X account.
