KUWAIT CITY, Aug 7: Under the directives of First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef, the Residency Affairs Sector, represented by the General Department of Residency Affairs Investigations - Search and Investigation Department, successfully apprehended a gang of six individuals.

These individuals, of Syrian and Egyptian nationalities, were engaged in residency trading through the creation of fictitious companies, using forged documents to bring workers into the country for illegal profits. Workers were brought in for fees ranging from 350 to 1,000 dinars each. Residency affairs detectives were vigilant, ensuring the arrest of all involved, including sponsors and facilitators, whether citizens or otherwise. Legal action has been taken against them, and they have been referred to the competent authorities. The Ministry of Interior reiterates its commitment to firmly addressing any form of residency trafficking and legal violations.
